Utah has legalized the use of medical marijuana, but recreational cannabis is still illegal. Medical marijuana can only be obtained with a valid medical marijuana card, and only certain forms of the drug are allowed, such as pills, oils, and topical creams. Possession of up to one ounce of cannabis is a class B misdemeanor, and distribution of cannabis is a felony.

Utah's Licensing Information

With recreational cannabis being illegal and the use of medical cannabis highly regulated in Texas, there are several conditions to consider. 

  • Cannabis consumption is only allowed in private residences for medical reasons.
  • Cultivation of up to six cannabis plants per household is allowed for adults 21 and over.
  • Cannabis delivery is not allowed in Utah.
  • Public consumption of cannabis is illegal.
  • Cannabis advertising is restricted.
  • Cannabis products must be tested and labeled before sale.
